“I am Ané Welthagen and I have been volunteering for almost 9 months at one of the Projects. I decided to start volunteering to get more knowledge about wildlife and I wanted to be part of something bigger. I wanted to work with animals and give a helping hand where needed. I also wanted to learn more about wild animals like lions. I am continuing to volunteer because the experience keeps getting better and better and I just love being part of something so amazing. The projects that I am apart of is amazing. We are taking care of the animals by feeding them which also means to clean up after them when they eat and also maintaining their enclosures and cleaning it every day. We are also treading the ill or injured animals on the farm. Of course there is also always time for spending some one on one time with them. Being part of such a big family is absolutely amazing. I have to say that my favorite part of all the projects are to take care of the animals whom needs special attention like ill or injured animals. I will recommend RAVIA because it gives the best volunteering options and it makes me enjoy every moment of every minute I volunteer. Volunteering made lock down so much better and I know that I am part of something bigger.”
